Enabling built-in plugins
Built-in plugins are small, focused features that render on your public site: a table of contents, an image lightbox, a newsletter popup, a cookie banner. They are built into the platform — nothing to download, nothing to host. Enable what your site needs; disable what it does not.
The library
| Plugin | What it does |
|---|---|
| Table of Contents | Auto-builds a TOC from page headings |
| Scroll Spy Nav | Highlights the current section while scrolling |
| Reading Progress Bar | Thin progress bar as visitors read |
| Reading Time Estimator | "4 min read" on posts |
| Image Lightbox | Full-screen image view with keyboard nav |
| Newsletter Popup | Collect subscribers (pairs with email marketing) |
| Cookie Consent Banner | The polite, required banner |
| Back to Top Button | One-tap return for long pages |
| Copy Code Buttons | Copy button on code blocks |
| Share to Clipboard / Social Share | Link-sharing helpers |
| FAQ Knowledge Base | Structured FAQ blocks |
| Testimonials Wall | A wall of quotes from your collected testimonials |
| Stats & Milestones | Counters for achievements |
| Events & RSVP | Event blocks and RSVP forms on any page |
| Appointment Booking | The availability picker inline |
| Services & Custom Quote CTA | Service CTAs with quote requests |
| Font Size Adjuster | Visitor-controlled text size |
| Time-Based Greeting Banner | "Good morning" style welcome |
| Themed Cursor Dot | A branded cursor touch |
| Weather Widget | Local weather on your page |
Enabling one
Dashboard → Plugins lists the built-ins. Open one, toggle it on for the site, adjust its settings (see Plugin settings) and publish. It renders in the slot it was built for — a TOC on posts, the lightbox in galleries, the banner on top. No shortcodes, no templates to edit.
Choosing well
- Enable for the reading experience: TOC, progress bar, reading time, copy-code — pick the ones that match your content (a code-heavy blog wants copy buttons; an essayist wants the TOC).
- Enable for the job the site does: services site → booking + services CTA; community site → events; everyone → cookie consent where required by your audience's law.
- Three to six plugins is the sweet spot. Each plugin costs a little weight and a little attention; a site with fourteen enabled is a site whose owner stopped choosing.
Tip
Enable plugins ONE at a time and look at the real page after each (see Live preview for the safe way). Plugins interact — a scroll-spy nav plus a TOC plus a progress bar can crowd a narrow screen.
Plan gates
Some plugins are plan-gated (the control shows honestly on your plan or it does not — see Plans compared). Gated plugins never half-render; the toggle simply is not there.
Uninstalling
Toggle off. The plugin stops rendering instantly; its settings stay in case you re-enable. Nothing user-visible is deleted — the reverse of adding.
Note
Built-ins update with the platform — you are never maintaining a version. If you need a plugin the library does not have, that is the Uploading your own path.
