Where LinkMe has an edge

93 genuinely distinct themes

Most platforms offer themes that are color swaps of the same layout. LinkMe's 93 themes are built from scratch — each with its own layout, typography, navigation, and component design. WordPress has 1000+ themes but most are variations of the same pattern. LinkedIn offers zero theme choice. Linktree has a handful of color variants.

All content types, no plugins needed

Resume with vaults, cover letters, portfolio, blog, testimonials, services, diary, events, FAQ, newsletter, bookings, custom pages — all built in. WordPress requires plugins for each of these (and plugins break, conflict, and need updates). LinkedIn only has resume and articles. Linktree has none. LinkMe has everything out of the box.

Email marketing, actually integrated

Campaigns are series of emails under one umbrella, with a rich editor, reusable templates, sequences and automations, subscriber management, and a settings layer — all wired to your site content. On WordPress this is a paid plugin stack; on Linktree it does not exist.

Social media studio

Compose once, publish everywhere: schedule posts across channels from your dashboard, track dispatches, and keep your content pipeline in one place. No other personal-site platform ships this natively.

Project management & content studio

Run client work and content pipelines next to the site they publish to: kanban boards, task resources, notes, and a studio for planning campaigns. Competitors bolt this on with third-party tools.

Privacy-first analytics

LinkMe analytics are first-party, cookieless, and anonymized. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no tracking cookies. WordPress requires third-party plugins for analytics (which add tracking). LinkedIn controls your data. Linktree shows basic stats but uses third-party tracking. LinkMe shows you page views and link clicks without compromising visitor privacy.

Full data export, no lock-in

Export everything — profile, links, posts, projects, testimonials, pages, subscribers — in JSON or CSV with one click. WordPress allows export (in its own format). LinkedIn offers limited data export. Linktree and About.me don't offer data export at all. LinkMe believes your data is yours.

Per-section access control

Make your site public, password-protected, or link-only — and set different access for different sections. Your resume can be public while your portfolio is password-protected. WordPress requires plugins for this. LinkedIn and Linktree don’t offer section-level access control. LinkMe gives you granular control.

Where other platforms are better

Linktree has deeper social platform integrations and is more widely recognized. If you only need a simple link page, it's simpler.

Carrd gives you more layout control with its drag-and-drop editor. If you want pixel-perfect custom design, Carrd is more flexible.

About.me has been around longer and has a larger established user base.

LinkMe is for people who want a real website — with content types, themes, and features — without building it from scratch. If you just need links, Linktree is fine. If you want a website, LinkMe is the better choice.
