# Dear Calmlabs team,

Six years ago I redesigned a savings flow as a junior designer and watched completion jump overnight. That moment taught me the thing I have chased since: design is how a product keeps its promises.

You are building the calmest tool in a loud category, and the Design Lead role is where my work has been heading. At Fintech Inc I rebuilt trust into a savings app — feedback states, human language, four-screen onboarding — and saw drop-off fall by a quarter. At Calmlabs I have led the design system all four products now share.

Three things I would bring on day one:

1. **Systems thinking** — I design the rules, not just the screens, so quality scales without me in every review. 2. **Research habits** — decisions trace back to user evidence, and I write them down so the whole team inherits the reasoning. 3. **Craft with care** — accessibility and calm interaction are baseline for me, not aspirations.
